2010-11 Luvabulls: Meet Jennie
Park Ridge, IL
University of Illinois – Go Illini!
What does being a member of the Luvabulls mean to you?
I feel very honored to be a member of the squad this season. Dance is such a major part of my life and being a part of the Luvabulls allows me to share that with so many people – it’s truly remarkable!
How has your dancing experience led you to this point?
I have been dancing since the age of three with a focus on lyrical, jazz, tap and hip hop. The directors at the studio I grew up dancing at were Luvabulls as well as my high school poms coach. After dancing a bit in college, I was dying to be a part of a dance team again so Luvabulls just seemed like the natural choice!
What is your claim to fame—besides being a Luvabull?
As a child, I was in commercials and modeled—my favorite was American Girl!
What people do you admire the most and how have they supported or inspired you as a dancer?
The people I admire most are definitely my parents. They have always supported me in everything I do, especially dance. They spent countless years driving me to practices, rehearsals, games and shows and more importantly cheering me on as my number one fan out in the audience!
What is your proudest accomplishment to date and where do you see yourself in 10 years?
My proudest accomplishment is a toss-up between graduating from U of I with honors and buying my first condo! In 10 years, I see myself married with a couple kids and living in the suburbs of Chicago.
