2012-13 Luvabulls: Meet Diamond
What does being a member of the Luvabulls mean to you?
I have accomplished a childhood dream. It’s an honor to be part of a well-organized, talented group of beautiful women.
How has your dancing experience led you to this point?
I’ve learned an important life lesson through my dance experience which is to never give up on my dreams.Exploring new opportunities led me to this point.
What is your claim to fame—besides being a Luvabull?
My claim to fame is hearing the good news of becoming “Jet Beauty of the Week” for August 6, 2012 issue of Ebony Jet Magazine. I will continue to maintain my passion for excellence.
What do you do for a living?
I help patients who are recovering from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries regain movement and manage pain.
Describe the feeling of hearing your number called at tryouts as you made the Luvabulls.
When I heard my number called, I was shocked, ecstatic, proud, and relieved all at the same time. In Kevin’s Hart words, I said “Alright; Alright; Alright!”
What people do you admire the most and how have they supported or inspired you as a dancer?
The people I admire the most would be my Mother because she is genuinely my number one fan. Beyoncé and Janet Jackson have inspired me in my dancing abilities because they are amazing performers.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date and where do you see yourself in 10 years?
My proudest accomplishment to date is receiving my B.S. from Hampton University and becoming one of rookies as a Chicago Luvabull dancer for the 2012-2013 teams. In 10 years, I see myself being offered the leading role as Beyoncé in her biography movie, a successful Physical Therapist and happily married with a beautiful, healthy family.
