What people do you admire the most and how have they supported or inspired you as a dancer?

I admire many dancers, performers, and Icons. Danielle Polanco is a dancer and choreographer who has worked with and choreographed for Beyonce’. Chester Gregory a Gary, IN native & Broadway musical star (Tarzan, Hairspray, Dreamgirls, and Sister Act II). Lastly, my all time favorite Debbie Allen! While attending the Ailey School, Debbie Allen ran a rehearsal and gave her insight to us (the dancers). Her words still encourage me to be the best while always having more to offer! All of these performers speak volume to my life on hard work and dedication while commanding your craft.

Describe the feeling of performing at a Bulls playoff game.

Performing at a Bulls playoff game is one of the best memories I have! The energy from the players, fans, and fellow Luvabulls all in one arena blows the roof off! The intensity of being apart of an event that millions are watching, and having a front row seat while performing awesome choreography is the ultimate adventure!

What is your proudest accomplishment to date and where do you see yourself in 10 years?

My proudest accomplishment to date is choreographing the Michael Jackson Fanvention production. I received the opportunity to meet Michael Jacksons’ family and musicians he has worked with on his tours. In ten years I see myself working with industry known artist such as Chris Brown, Ciara, and Mindless Behavior.

How has your dancing experience led you to this point?

My dance experience started with one class every week at The Boys & Girls club, becoming a dance major at the only performing arts school in my city, in addition to training in New York City where I studied and finished my Independent Study program at The Alvin Ailey School of dance. Being a professional dancer for The Luvabulls reassures hard work and long hours in various dance studios were not spent in vain.

What is your claim to fame - besides being a Luvabull?

Other than being a Luvabull, I pride myself in my YouTube channel! I have about 84 videos filled with my choreography and dance performances. Broadcasting my work to YouTube has opened many doors and opportunities with an array of artists and live productions.

What do you do for a living?

I am a Choreographer and Dance Instructor. My days are filled with teaching children fundamentals of dance. In the evening I work at a pre professional dance studio where some of our previous students have gone on to attend The Juilliard School, and also dance professionally with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

What does being a member of the Luvabulls mean to you?

Being a member of the Luvabulls still blows my mind even the second time around. I am very proud to be a part of this amazing organization. Every time I step into the United Center I take a second to embrace the blessing!
