2010-11 Luvabulls: Meet Asia
Indiana University Northwest
What does being a member of the Luvabulls mean to you?
Becoming a member of the Luvabulls brings joy to my heart, because hard work is being acknowledged which will enable me to reach new heights. I am proud to be apart of an organization that provides beautiful and intelligent women with the opportunity to display their talent.
How has your dancing experience led you to this point?
Variations of tough love and wisdom from my instructors definitely provided a guiding light. Hard work, training, and sacrifice have led me to this point.
What is your claim to fame—besides being a Luvabull?
My claim to fame besides being a Luvabull was my television debut on an episode of Mtv's MADE. This experience gave me the opportunity to become a dance coach for a young lady from a small town wanting to make her high school's dance team.
What people do you admire the most and how have they supported or inspired you as a dancer?
I admire Debbie Allen, Fatima Robinson, and Paula Abdul the most! All three of these wonderful women are groundbreaking, award winning dancers/choreographers with extensive resumes. As a choreographer and dancer I am inspired by hard work and making a name for myself, as these women continue to do.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date and where do you see yourself in 10 years?
My proudest accomplishment to date has to be choreographing and costuming an entire 2-hour production, and having it develop the following year into a traveling tour! In 10 years I see myself as a cutting edge award-winning choreographer.
