Hi, I'm from Bloomingdale, Illinois, I attended the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana and work as an entertainment accountant.

Dance experience

I started dancing at a young age focusing on ballet, jazz, and tap. Through the years I continued dancing through poms, cheerleading, orchesis, and the passion that drove me, gymnastics.

My first year at the University of Illinois I was a member of 3Spot Dance Troupe, where I performed in several jazz, hip hop, and lyrical pieces for our fall and spring shows. I was also a member of the official university dance team, the Illinettes, for three years, cheering and dancing for the Fighting Illini football and basketball teams. With the Illinettes, I choreographed several routines and also had the privilege of performing in the Sugar Bowl.

After school I moved around a bit, but spent most of the last couple of years dancing in LA. I performed in J.C. Productions "Worldly Girl", on the Shockwave Dance Team for San Fernando's PDL Soccer Team, Nike Basketball's Summer Pro League, Nike Sponsored Basketball Tournaments on Venice Beach, Ballin' for Peace-Streetball Tournaments, and in several shows with the MKM Cultural Center's dance company.

Lifetime goal

To live life to the fullest and follow my dreams. I want to travel the world, have a successful career, and someday raise a family.

Most people don't know this about me...

I used to teach at a school for students who were expelled from their original high schools with behavior disorders. Although teaching these students was very challenging, I gained experience and knowledge I will never forget.

My proudest accomplishment to date is

Following my heart and dreams. I have moved, traveled, and experienced without letting fear and the unknown get in my way. I hear a lot of people say that they want to go somewhere or do something, but very few actually do; I can honestly say I am not one of those.

Advice to young dancers

People will tear you apart and try to bring you down, but never give up. Let your passion, dreams, and hard work give you the drive to give it your all.
