October 13, 2009 – In support of our armed forces, the Chicago Bulls donated hundreds of tickets to each Bulls home preseason game this season to the United Service Organization (USO).

The complimentary tickets were distributed to injured veterans and family members of currently enlisted armed forces serving overseas including Iraq and Afghanistan. Additionally, active members of the armed forces in the Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin area were also invited.

The Bulls have been donating tickets to the USO for more than five years.

The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform. The original intent of Congress — and enduring style of USO delivery — is to represent the American people by extending a touch of home to the military. The USO currently operates more than 130 centers worldwide, including ten mobile canteens located in the continental United States and overseas.
