January 11, 2007 — Team Mates, the Chicago Bulls’ women’s philanthropic organization, hosted a baby shower on Jan. 10 for mothers and children of New Moms, Inc., a transitional homeless shelter benefiting teenage mothers and their children. Beginning at 5 p.m., members of the Bulls wives organization were on hand to present gifts for each mother and their children as well as provide an evening of food and entertainment.

This holiday season, Team Mates sold official 2006.07 Bulls holiday ornaments resembling an actual basketball and featuring the 2006.07 Bulls slogan, “For the Love of the Game” across the front. As an added bonus, the entire Bulls team including Ben Wallace, Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon’s signatures appeared on the ornament.

All money raised from the ornament sale will benefit local charities assisting women and children in need, such as New Moms, Inc.
