Love and Green host reading timeout in Bulls locker room

The Bulls, Rush University Medical Center and ComEd coordinated the event as part of the Bulls’ ongoing Read to Achieve program, which inspires literacy among Chicago’s youth by encouraging families and adults to read regularly with young children.

November 3, 2010 – Bulls legends Bob Love and Sidney Green hosted a reading timeout for 50 students from Brown Elementary School on Wednesday in the Bulls locker room at the United Center.

Beginning at noon, Love and Green, along with Benny the Bull, participated in a reading session with the students and also treated them to an exclusive tour of the locker room. Local Rush University Medical Center students also joined in on the festivities and met all the students.

The Bulls, Rush University Medical Center and ComEd coordinated the event as part of the Bulls’ ongoing Read to Achieve program, which inspires literacy among Chicago’s youth by encouraging families and adults to read regularly with young children. As part of its annual commitment, the Bulls host Reading Time Outs with local children, distribute more than 5,000 new books and organize literacy activities.
