The Chicago Bulls and Verizon Wireless have once again teamed up to host a third annual HopeLine phone drive at the Bulls’ home game on Saturday, March 26, 2005.
Prior to the 7:30 p.m. tip-off between the Bulls and Indiana Pacers, volunteers will collect no-longer used wireless phones and accessories at all United Center (1901 West Madison Street | Chicago, IL) entrance gates. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. that evening.
As sponsor of the March 26, game Verizon Wireless will also distribute Bulls jersey bottle jackets to the first fans arriving at the arena while supplies last.
Through its ongoing HopeLine program, Verizon Wireless collects previously-owned wireless phones to be refurbished or recycled in an environmentally sound way and/or sold. Proceeds are then used to purchase wireless handsets for victims of domestic violence in the Chicago area. All materials collected through the Bulls’ drive will be utilized by Verizon’s HopeLine program.
