GM Forman leads Bulls in reading tour at local school

Bulls staff visits Prairieview Elementary for Read to Achieve program

November 1, 2011—As part of the Read to Achieve program, Bulls’ General Manager Gar Forman hosted a reading tour at Prairieview Elementary School in Bartlett on Tuesday afternoon.

Forman was joined by Bill Wennington, Adrian Griffin, Bob Love, Benny the Bull and other Bulls front office staff as they helped teach basketball themed lessons to the kindergarten through sixth grade students.

After the classroom sessions, the students gathered for a rally with the Bulls personalities in the school’s auditorium.

Tuesday’s visit to Prairieview Elementary School tipped off the Bulls reading tour events. Throughout the next few months, the Bulls will be visiting local schools to promote the importance of education and literacy.

The Bulls and Rush University Medical Center coordinated the event as part of the Bulls’ ongoing Read to Achieve program, which inspires literacy among Chicago’s youth by encouraging families and adults to read regularly with young children.
