Green visits local firehouse to promote holiday food drive

November 30, 2010 - Bulls ambassador Sidney Green was on hand at the Chicago Fire Department’s Engine Company 98 firehouse on November 30 to promote and collect food items for the Bulls, Midway Moving and Storage and Vienna Beef’s holiday food drive. The partners will host a food drive on Saturday, December 4 at the United Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

As a special treat, fans who came out to Company 98’s firehouse and donated to the food drive also received a free Vienna Beef hot dog.

High protein foods in unbreakable containers, as well as baby foods, diapers and hygiene products are highly recommended. All donations will benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, is a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community.
