    April 25, 2008 – Bulls guard Chris Duhon has been named the CDW/Sony Notebooks Bulls Community Player of the Year.

    To help in continuing relief efforts in his home state of Louisiana which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina, Chris made a personal donation of $100,000 and established the Stand Tall Foundation.

    Through his foundation, he launched Operation 21, a project to refurbish 21 outdoor basketball courts in New Orleans and his hometown of Slidell. His foundation efforts have helped raise more than $450,000 for the Katrina victims and aided in the reconstruction of Slidell.

    His philanthropic efforts were also recognized in 2006, when he was the recipient of the Sporting News’ Good Guy Award. The Bulls join CDW and Sony Notebooks in saluting Chris Duhon as this year’s recipient of the Community Player of the Year award.
