Bulls, Harris Bank celebrate Adopt-A-School Program with local winning school
March 24, 2011 – To celebrate the Chicago Bulls and Harris Adopt-A-School Program, Kyle Korver and Keith Bogans hosted an assembly on Wednesday with more than 100 kindergarten through fifth grade students at Walt Disney Magnet School, the winner of the Adopt-A-School partnership.
Through the Chicago Bulls and Harris Adopt-A-School Program, the organizations actively support one local school a year by offering assets to the school to encourage students to excel in their studies and help maintain superior attendance records.
The players, along with Bob Love and Sidney Green, signed autographs, posed for photos and participated in basketball drills with the students.
As a special treat, the players randomly drew three students' names to win Bulls prizes including a 2010-11 Bulls team autographed pennant.
As the Bulls and Harris Adopt-A-School partner, Walt Disney Magnet School receives special benefits such as tickets to Bulls games, player and Bulls celebrity appearances and tours of the United Center. Chicago K-8th grade public schools are eligible for the honor to be the Chicago Bulls and Harris Adopt-A-School Program school winner.
