March 20, 2013 – The Chicago Bulls and BMO Harris Bank hosted an assembly on Wednesday with more than 300 students from Songhai Elementary Learning Institute to celebrate the school’s selection as the Bulls and BMO Harris 2012-13 Adopt-A-School partner. Nate Robinson, Sidney Green, Benny the Bull and Hubert the Lion were on hand for the event.

As part of the celebration, one lucky student at the assembly was chosen as the honorary ball person for a Bulls regular season home game in April. The student will get the opportunity to rebound for the team during the team’s pregame shootaround.

BMO Harris Bank also formally announced that it will donate $1 to Songhai Elementary Learning Institute for every point the Bulls score during their 2013 playoff run. Additionally, the Bulls and BMO Harris Bank revealed they will donate funds to add computer stations to the school's college and career room, as well as two mounted air conditioners in their existing computer lab.

Before the assembly, a BMO Harris Bank representative led a group of students in a financial literacy lesson, which provided the children with useful tools for saving, spending and budgeting their money.

As the 2012-13 Adopt-A-School partner, Songhai Elementary Learning Institute also receives special benefits such as tickets to select Bulls games, school appearances by Bulls personalities and tours of the United Center.
