Bulls, Blackhawks and Constellation host community cleanup event

Event marked the second time the Bulls and Blackhawks have joined forces for a community cleanup project with Constellation

July 16, 2013 -- The Bulls and Blackhawks teamed up with Constellation to host a community greening event at the Westhaven Park Gardens located near the United Center on Friday afternoon. Volunteers from each organization and children from the community, as well as Bob Love, Benny the Bull, Stan Mikita, Tommy Hawk and members of the Blackhawks Ice Crew, were on hand to help beautify the gardens by cleaning up the area and adding new plants and flowers. The Bulls, Blackhawks and Constellation also donated four new flower beds to the Westhaven Park Gardens.

The event marked the second time the Bulls and Blackhawks have joined forces for a community cleanup project with Constellation. In 2012, Constellation was named “The Official Energy Provider” for both organizations through the 2015-16 seasons. Through the partnership, Constellation also sponsored both teams’ “Go Green” games held at the United Center in April.
