Bucks and Sam's Hope host author's night tomorrow

Tomorrow night, Bucks players and team mascot Bango will be at Hartford University School (2227 East Hartford Avenue, Milwaukee, 53211) for the annual Sam’s Hope for Literacy and the Milwaukee Bucks Author’s Night. The event runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and two Bucks players will read to a group of over 400 kids and their families and play fun games with the children that promote literacy.

Sam’s Hope was founded by three local teenagers and continues to be staffed by high school and college student volunteers. The Milwaukee Bucks 13-year partnership with Sam’s Hope has produced numerous events, programs and projects for the children of the Milwaukee area. Earlier this season, the Bucks and Sam’s Hope hosted a Scholastic Book Fair at the Bradley Center. Thanks to a big-hearted donation of books from Scholastic, Sam's Hope and the Bucks were able to place new books in the hands of hundreds of children in need in Milwaukee.
