Bucks Begin Summer League Play July 13 in Las Vegas

The National Basketball Association released the 2013 NBA Summer League schedule today, featuring a new format that includes a single-elimination tournament to crown the first-ever Summer League Champion. Each of the 22 teams in attendance will play three games from July 12-16, with Milwaukee slated to open its Summer League campaign on Saturday, July 13, at 9 p.m. CT vs. Denver. The Bucks will wrap up the opening round with matchups against the New Orleans Pelicans (Sunday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m. CT) and Golden State Warriors (Tuesday, July 16, at 5:30 p.m. CT).

Following the opening three games, the 22 participating teams will be seeded for a single-elimination tournament culminating in the 2013 Summer League Championship game on Monday, July 22. A consolation round will be held for teams failing to advance, guaranteeing that all teams will play a minimum of five games. In all, the 2013 NBA Summer League will feature 61 games scheduled over 11 days at the COX Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The Bucks will announce their 2013 NBA Summer League roster at a later date.

The television “Voice of the Bucks,” Jim Paschke, and Bucks.com crew will be at every Bucks practice and game in Las Vegas, providing exclusive 2013 NBA Summer League coverage including video highlights, interviews and player features. Summer League Central, located at bucks.com/summerleague, will be updated daily and is the official source for Bucks-related content during the 2013 NBA Summer League. NBA TV will televise a full slate of NBA Summer League games and live game action will also extend across digital platforms. Complete broadcast information will be released at a later date.
