Bucks Announce 2016 Training Camp Roster

The Milwaukee Bucks announced their 2016 training camp roster today with the additions of Jabari Brown and Jaleel Roberts. Training camp opens on Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Madison, Wis., following the team’s annual Media Day on Monday, Sept. 26, from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Milwaukee Bucks Training Center in St. Francis (3501 S. Lake Drive).

Brown, 23, finished the 2015-16 season with the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA D-League after playing 27 games with the Forshan Long Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association. Brown averaged 32.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game during his time with the Long Lions. The 6-4 guard went undrafted out of Missouri in the 2014 NBA Draft and later joined the D-Fenders, where he averaged a D-League-leading 24.4 points per game to go along with 4.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 39 games (25 starts) in 2014-15. Through his play with the D-Fenders, Brown earned two 10-day contacts with the team’s NBA affiliate, the Los Angeles Lakers, who later signed him to a multi-year contract. In 19 games with the Lakers, Brown averaged 11.9 points and 2.1 assists in 29.9 minutes per game.

Roberts, 23, played 13 games with the Brisbane Spartans of the South East Australian Basketball League in 2016, averaging 8.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. The 7-0 center played four years of collegiate basketball at the University of North Carolina at Asheville before going undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. As a senior with the Bulldogs in 2014-15, Roberts averaged 7.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in 19.3 minutes per contest over 30 games.

In a subsequent move, the Bucks requested waivers on guard/forward Xavier Henry.
