Bucks Announce 2016 Summer League Roster

Milwaukee Bucks General Manager John Hammond announced today the team’s roster for the 2016 Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Milwaukee’s roster is highlighted by the Bucks’ two draft picks from the NBA Draft last month – Thon Maker, the 10th overall pick, and Malcolm Brogdon, the 36th overall pick – and current roster member Rashad Vaughn, who played in 70 games with the Bucks as a rookie last season.

Milwaukee is scheduled to open its Samsung NBA Summer League campaign on Friday, July 8, at 5 p.m. CT against the entry from the newly-crowned NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bucks will continue their opening round play with games against the NBA D-League Select Team (Sunday, July 10, at 3:30 p.m. CT) and Memphis Grizzlies (Monday, July 11, at 3 p.m. CT). Following the opening three games, the participating teams will be seeded in a single-elimination tournament that will culminate with the crowning of the Samsung NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 18. A consolation round will be held for teams failing to advance, ensuring that each team at Samsung NBA Summer League is guaranteed to play no fewer than five games. In all, the 2016 Samsung NBA Summer League will feature 67 games scheduled over 11 days at the COX Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

ESPN will carry all 67 Samsung NBA Summer League games across the ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU and WatchESPN platforms. In addition, NBA TV will televise a slate of 30 games. The NBA will release a complete broadcast schedule at a later date.

The Bucks Digital team will be on site in Las Vegas to provide exclusive coverage of Milwaukee’s NBA Summer League team, including coverage of all games, daily updates and behind-the-scenes features with Bucks players. Summer League Central, located at www.bucks.com/summerleague, will be updated daily and is the official source for Bucks-related content during the 2016 Samsung NBA Summer League. Fans can stay connected to the Bucks in Vegas using the hashtag #BucksSummerLeague and by following the team on Snapchat at bucksdotcom.
