Forgive John Henson if he gave thanks a few hours early, because he had a lot for which to be thankful.

The Milwaukee Bucks rookie forward recorded his first National Basketball Association double-double with 17 points and 18 rebounds in his team’s 113-106 overtime loss to the defending champion Miami Heat in Florida on the eve of Thanksgiving.

The entire Milwaukee Bucks organization is deeply saddened at the news of Rick’s death. Rick was an assistant coach for the Bucks during the 1986-87 season and an accomplished college coach throughout his career, including at Marquette University from 1983-86.

Rick was a giant of a man who loved to talk about basketball and life, and enjoy the company of his many friends, including long-time, personal friend Senator Herb Kohl.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the entire Majerus family and his many friends.
