On the second night of a back-to-back, the Raptors seemed to take over in the second half….
Well there’s a chance that was the case, for sure. We’re playing a little bit shorthanded. We don’t have the normal number of bodies, I think we have 3 or 4 guys that are out with injuries. Coming off an overtime game last night, it’s a legitimate thought. I think Charlie V (Villanueva) kept us in the game offensively in the first half, I think it was a two point game. Last time we were here it was a two point game, we ended up losing by 31 on a second night of a back-to-back. The reality is that’s the NBA. We ran into a little bit of a buzz saw with energy. Typically you don’t come in, I think the Raptors had three days off getting ready for us. It could be a valid point. It’s at the point of the season right now where they’re fighting for their lives for playoff position, and we’re just trying to make some progress.
On trying to ride Charlie V (Villanueva) in the first half….
Yes, we were struggling offensively. I didn’t want to say anything to him or change anything with the pace he was going. I thought they (Raptors) did a good job of clogging the paint and Andrew (Bogut) didn’t get normal looks, he didn’t take a shot in the first half. We were trying to get him some looks in there. We just got turnover prone, probably more turnovers than we are used to having. Particularly late in the game, we didn’t give ourselves much of a chance by turning the ball over a number of times for easy baskets for them.

It must be gratifying to have a performance like this in Toronto?
Yes, I was looking forward to it. I always have this extra boost when I come to Toronto, I don’t know why. I played well but I don’t like losing. It doesn’t mean anything to me, I played well but we lost and I would rather win. I like to be a winner.
Great performance from the three-point line…
Yes I think that I hit seven threes and I think that my career high was six so one better. I was feeling it out there in that second quarter. I played big minutes tonight, I was a little bit tired and I tried to push it as much as I could to try and compete and try and win the game. We’re coming off a back-to-back and Toronto had a couple of days off and they played like it.
Andrew Bogut
Thoughts on the game…
We needed to slow it down a bit and grind it out a bit more because they are a team that wants to run and has great three-point shooters. They did a great job of taking it to us tonight.
Thoughts on the teams defence…
Everyone just wants to score instead of getting back on defense. We are giving up a bucket to them to get our bucket and all of a sudden we give up 20 and score 15 and lose our lead. It has been the same story for us since December so no surprises there. We have to go out and want to play defense and when we don’t we lose.
