PORTLAND, December 9 (AP) -- Brandon Roy scored 21 points, including a go-ahead layup in overtime, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 117-113 on Sunday.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 points for the Blazers, who won their third straight. But it wasn't easy.

The Bucks went up 112-107 in the extra period after Andrew Bogut made a pair of free throws. Aldridge made a jumper for the Blazers before fouling out, and Travis Outlaw added two more free throws to narrow it to 112-111.

Milwaukee's Michael Redd missed a 3-point attempt with 32.9 seconds to go.

Roy hit his layup to give the Blazers a 113-112 lead, their first of overtime. After Mo Williams missed a layup, Steve Blake was fouled by Charlie Villanueva and made both the foul shots to give Portland a 115-112 lead.

Redd missed a jumper in the final seconds and afterward the officials reviewed whether Blake's loose ball foul came before the buzzer.

Charlie Bell made just one of the resulting free throws, and Outlaw was fouled on the other end and made both of his for the final margin.

Williams had a season-high 33 points, 14 of them in the third quarter, for Milwaukee.

Larry Krystkowiak

“We were in the ball game and we made some plays down the stretch. There were some interesting twists of events that made it hard. Its difficult to swallow for sure but those plays down the stretch can get magnified and there’s a lot of plays along the way that could have been better. It was real hard to swallow; its hard for all of us involved. Losing is no fun and we’ve been in some close ball games and haven’t been able to get over the hump.

“We still have a talented bunch of guys in there and they are in it for the right reasons. I thought as negative as the evening could have been perceived there were a lot of positives that came out of it. I learned a lot watching our guys compete.”

(On the impact of Portland’s hot shooting) “They got a lot of open shots. At the beginning of the game we gave up a lot and I thought in the second half the intensity picked up a bit. We switched on a lot of pick-and-rolls and I think that turned into a bit of a target practice for them. They hit shots that were contested. That’s a good shooting team over there and they can spread the floor. If we just one more stop or two more stops, that’s the difference in the ball game.”

Mo Williams

“You don’t find a way to win until you get a win . . . I want a win so bad. That’s why I get so frustrated at losses and certain situations during the game. I know my role. I just need to find the medium where I’m doing the same thing every night. I just wanted that last shot. When you’re on the road you don’t want to give them any more time. I’ve shot that shot a hundred times in my head and in practice and in the gym. I want to win and sometimes I’m overaggressive because I want to win so bad.”

Andrew Bogut

“This is a bump in the road. Its always tough to win on the road. I thought it was definitely a game we should have won. Some calls didn’t go our way towards the end of the game and I think that hurt us. Other than that, we have to step up and hit that shot. You have to hit the big shots and make the big stops and we haven’t done that this year. We let them back in the game. I think we’re trying to play hard but its going to take time to get better.

“Being an NBA player isn’t all about the glamour and the night life and playing in front of thousands of people. Its about getting wins too. I don’t think we realize that yet but we’re a young team and we’re trying to get better. These last few games have definitely been an improvement from where we have been.”
