MILWAUKEE, December 12 (AP) -- Michael Redd had 27 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists to help the Milwaukee Bucks snap a four-game losing streak with a 100-86 victory over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

Yi Jianlian scored 18 points, Mo Williams had 15 and Andrew Bogut had 11 before fouling out in the fourth quarter for the Bucks, who were coming off a five-game road trip that ended with four straight losses.

Dwight Howard had 20 points and 13 rebounds for his league-leading 19th double-double, Rashard Lewis had 20 points and Hedo Turkoglu added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Magic who came with the NBA-best road record at 11-2. The loss also gave them their first three-game losing streak of the season.

Trailing 75-61, Orlando used its 3-point shooting to make a game of it in the fourth as the Bucks led almost from the start.

Lewis hit three 3s and Turkoglu added another as the Magic made it 75-73 early in the quarter. The Bucks went scoreless for almost four minutes before Bogut's dunk on a pass from Williams stopped the rally. Williams hit a jumper and Bogut scored on a layup over Lewis as Milwaukee pushed the lead to 81-73 with 6:57 to play.

Maurice Evans hit two free throws for the Magic before Redd hit a 3-pointer with 5:27 left and Orlando never got closer the rest of the way.

Postgame News and Notes

The Bucks snapped a 4-game losing streak in high style against an Orlando team that had lost just twice on the road entering tonight’s game. The Magic’s 11 road victories are still tops in the NBA.

Not only did Michael Redd notch a double-double tonight, he was just 1 assist short of his first career triple-double. No. 22’s last double-double was at Phoenix on 11/24/2004 (22 points, 10 rebounds), during the 2004-2005 campaign. Redd finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 9 assists.

Orlando Center Dwight Howard had a double-double of his own, scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 boards.

After their tough western swing, Milwaukee improved to 7-2 at the Bradley Center. The Bucks matched Detroit (on the road in Houston tonight) for the second-best home winning percentage in the Eastern Conference at .778. The Boston Celtics remain undefeated at home after beating the Sacramento Kings tonight.

The Bucks improved to 6-3 in their first home game following a west coast trip dating back to the 2003-2004 season.

Orlando rattled off 8 unanswered points to open the second half, trimming the Bucks’ 13-point halftime lead to just 5. The Magic also outscored the Bucks 12-0 to open the fourth quarter, but the Bucks responded with a 6-0 run of their own to regain control of the game.

The Bucks improved to 4-0 this season when holding their opponents to fewer than 89 points. The Bucks have also won both games in which they surpassed 30 points in the opening quarter.

Bucks rookie Yi Jianlian had 10 points in the first quarter, and ultimately finished just 1 shy of matching his career high in points. Yi’s career high remains 19 (@ Houston, 11/9/2007). He hit each of the first 5 shots he took.

Orlando (16-7) has now dropped three games in a row, the last two against opponents with sub-.500 records. The Magic lost to the Atlanta Hawks (now 10-11) on Monday night.

Bring on the Quarter-Pounders! The Bucks improved to 6-1 when hitting the 100-point threshold with Mo Williams’ game-closing free throw.

Larry Krystkowiak

(On the key to winning tonight’s game…)
“I thought it was what we talked about prior to the game. The guys were committed to defending. Maybe a little slow start, (Orlando) hit a couple of early shots, but then we woke up and there was some real positive energy on the floor. I think it’s one through five. I think Andrew (Bogut) did a great job without us double-teaming in the post. He played (Dwight Howard) straight up. We managed to close out and do a decent job. I thought from an offensive point of view it’s as good as we’ve played in quite a while.”

(On what they were able to do tonight that they weren’t doing on the recent road trip...)
“I’d like to believe that this team is learning. We had the Portland game and the Sacramento game, and I think there were lessons to be learned. It’s a huge point to think that we were able to overcome a couple of runs at the start of each quarter. We got some stops when we needed to and we managed to make a couple of baskets to stem the tide. Little points like that throughout the course of the season are pretty important.”

(On the fast start and the shot selection in tonight’s game…)
“We can actually take a page out of the way Orlando plays. They’ve got different weapons and I think we have some weapons. They don’t take very many poor shots. They seem to find an open guy. At this level, with players of this caliber, shooting percentages go up so much when you’re not forcing the issue. We had very few forced shots and I think it got a little bit contagious where guys gave it up and were hitting open shots and the ball goes in. For the most part, it kind of validated the way we were playing, and then everybody was eager to do the same thing. ”

Michael Redd

(On coming one assist away from a triple-double tonight…)
“I wasn’t caring about scoring too much, even though it came. Tonight my teammates did a great job of just finishing plays, knocking down shots. It was a team effort tonight, but I was determined to lead the charge and just find everybody.”

Mo Williams

(On how they were able to get off to a fast start tonight…)
“I think we defended well. We executed and had a good game. We’re only going to go as far as Number 22 (Redd) takes us. I think he did a great job. He went one assist away from a triple double. I think he did a great job tonight.”

(On how they were able to close out tonight’s game after losing leads on the road trip…)
“We moved the ball down the stretch. I think that’s the most frustrating part, losing those games the way we did. Tonight we just kind of moved the ball and made the plays that the defense gave us. That’s why we kept the lead. They came back and we kept our composure and made plays.”
