Jamal Crawford made the go-ahead basket with 28 seconds left, and New York erased a 17-point deficit to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 91-88 on Friday.
One night after their coach accused them of quitting during a 104-59 loss in Boston, the Knicks surged back in the fourth quarter to win for the third time in four games.
Crawford and Zach Randolph led New York with 25 points apiece. Fred Jones provided a huge spark by scoring all of his 10 in the fourth quarter in place of Stephon Marbury, who had 13 points but left midway through the third quarter with a right shoulder muscle spasm.
Michael Redd scored 27 points for the Bucks, but missed two late 3-point attempts in Milwaukee's third straight loss.

Larry Krystkowiak
On tonight’s game:
“They picked up some energy for sure. Fred Jones gave them a big lift and obviously Jamal Crawford made some huge plays. We had a hard time stopping both of those guys in the midst of a momentum turn. It is a tough one to swallow.”
On Fred Jones guarding Michael Redd:
“He did a nice job on him. He got physical. I thought we deferred to Mike (Michael Redd) a little too much down the stretch. It is a game of possessions and they didn’t have the lead very often in that game. They had it at the very end. It is a tough one to swallow. It is a wound but we will move on.”
Andrew Bogut
On Jamal Crawford:
“He kills us every time. He is just a Bucks killer I guess.”
On David Lee:
“He is a tough guy to guard. He is one of those guys that won’t do much offensively and then he grabs a couple of offensive rebounds. I just needed to face guard him and keep him off the boards.”
Michael Redd
On tonight’s game:
“I am speechless. I am more speechless that we lost three in a row not that we lost to the Knicks. The Knicks are a talented team. You have to be able to defend, put your foot down and take advantage of the situation and we didn’t do that. We just have to go back to the drawing board and come back tomorrow.”
On Fred Jones guarding him:
“It was a team effort. He is a terrific player, but it wasn’t that. We just have to go back to the drawing board and get better and learn from it.”
