Larry Krystkowiak

(On the win tonight…)
“It was pretty solid all the way around. It was Saturday night at the fights. We made some shots down the stretch to kind of get some momentum. I thought Andrew’s (Bogut) put-back on the free throw, we were going to be up two, (Redd) missed it and we went up four, that was a huge play. It’s the old CBA standards, we got four points and they got three. You get a point for each quarter and then three points for the win. They beat us by a slight margin on each of the first three quarters and then we had enough to put us over the top when we had the big fourth quarter. Scoring 35 points in that quarter was huge. I thought we were pretty aggressive getting to the rack.”

(On the difference between the team this year and last year...)
“In fairness, the ship was pretty well sunk at that point last year. Toward the tail end we’d been absolutely decimated with injuries. The thing about it, though, that I thought had really shown through last year was the fact that the guys that were finishing those games, they never quit. They were coachable in practice and they were playing hard.”

(On defending Dirk Nowitzki…)
“I thought Yi (Jianlian) was big at the end of the game on Dirk (Nowitzki). We went zone a couple of possessions and gave them some open looks that hurt us, but it certainly wasn’t anybody’s individual part. They had some nice zone offense and got some open looks. It was a nice little match-up, I thought man-to-man everybody battled and I thought Yi did a real commendable job.”

Yi Jianlian

(On guarding Dirk Nowitzki…)
“He’s a great player and a great shooter. I can’t let him get too many passes and I can’t let him get too many opportunities to shoot inside.”

Michael Redd

(On maintaining the aggressiveness throughout the game…)
“I kept saying in the huddle that we had to stay aggressive. Eventually it’ll come our way and it did. We can’t get frustrated with the referees and get foolish technicals, we didn’t need that tonight. Just keep playing basketball and eventually it will come our way, and it did.”
