BUCKS HEAD COACH SCOTT SKILES:
On tonight’s game…
“Our third quarter, we just came out really flat. They had a 19-point turnaround. They did what a lot of teams have done to us. They weren’t as sharp as they normally are in that first half and they turned it up in the third and took it from us without a whole lot of resistance. We finally got something going again when we put a smaller lineup out there and at least got a few stops, but then they made the big plays down the stretch.”
On the Bucks recent third quarters…
“We haven’t come out of the locker room well in the second half in quite awhile. It’s something we talk about every day. Last game, I changed the lineup at halftime, and I may have to go that route again. I didn’t think it paid a whole lot of dived ends the other night but we were able to at least get back in the game. I don’t think that it really has its place too much at this level, but when we’re coming out like this we have to have any options on the table.”
On the Bucks playing a complete game…
“When a team shoots 53 percent and scores 113 points and teams are routinely shooting a high percentage and scoring a lot of points against us the answer is no. I think anyone can see the areas of the game where we really have intensity, when we’re up on people in the back court, getting deflections, and getting out into the open floor. That’s been our game really all season that we are pretty good with.”

BUCKS FORWARD CHARLIE VILLANUEVA:
On tonight’s game…
“Third quarter’s are rough. It just seemed like they picked it up and we started missing shots and our defense was affected by it. If you eliminate the third quarter, we win that game.”

BUCKS FORWARD RICHARD JEFFERSON:
On tonight’s game…
“We didn’t do the things that we were supposed to. It was actually quite frustrating that we played one way in the first half and we came out in the third quarter and didn’t do that. After pretty much being embarrassed in the third quarter, then we went back to the things that we were doing in the first half when we were so successful. We outscored them in every quarter when we were doing the things that we were supposed to. That was the most annoying, frustrating thing about tonight’s game.”
On tonight’s game…
“There was three quarters in which we did what we were supposed to and there was one that we didn’t.. That one quarter cost us the game. They are tough to defend but we have quality players. When you spot anybody a ten point lead, it makes things a lot more difficult.”
