Bucks Team with WBCA, MACC Fund
Celebrating more than 100 years of high school basketball in the state of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bucks are slated to join the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association in the celebration of the opening of the WBCA Hall of Fame Museum at the JustAgame Fieldhouse in the Wisconsin Dells this weekend.
Bango and Hoop Troop will be on hand to entertain fans with their high flying dunks and tricks on Saturday, while Jim Paschke, the television voice of the Milwaukee Bucks, will serve as emcee of the dedication ceremony.
The Hall of Fame Museum features inductees, scoring leaders, coaching leaders, 1,000-point scorers, Mr. and Miss Basketballs, jerseys from every team in the state and pennants for every state champion. The largest display of the exhibit is a history wall featuring some of the most impactful players, teams and stories in Wisconsin high school basketball history.
In addition to the opening of the museum, the WBCA will also honor the MACC Fund by presenting the foundation with a check for the proceeds raised during the 2013 WBCA Boys and Girls All-Star Games in June. The second-longest sponsor of the MACC Fund after the Milwaukee Bucks, the annual all-star competition has raised more than $2 million since 1978.
The festivities kick off Friday with the WBCA Legends Game and will continue Saturday with the men’s and women’s all-star alumni games and dedication ceremony.
