Introducing ... SENIORGEE!
The roster has been set.
The practices have been intense.
Now, it’s showtime!
The Milwaukee Bucks’ newest game-night entertainment element, Seniorgee!, will take the hardwood for their prime-time debut on Tuesday, February 27, when the Bucks take on Golden State at 7:00 p.m. The 22-member squad is made up of active (and flexible) men and women over the age of 60 who were selected based on dancing ability, coordination and personality. The Milwaukee Bucks Seniorgee! Dance Team, presented by The Village at Manor Park, will appear at three Bucks games this season.
The team held their final practice at the Milwaukee Bucks Training Center on Monday, February 26 as they geared up for their big debut.
“There is no age limit for great entertainment,” said John Steinmiller, Vice President of Business Operations for the Bucks. “Our entire organization looks forward to opening night for Seniorgee. The Village at Manor Park is the leader in providing active senior living activities and the Milwaukee Bucks are pleased to provide a forum to showcase the energy and enthusiasm that pervades The Village at Manor Park lifestyle.”
“It is proven that living life actively and enthusiastically leads to healthier lives and the Seniorgee team is further documentation,” Steinmiller added. “We are proud to promote active senior living with our partner, The Village at Manor Park.”
“We’re proud to be working with the Milwaukee Bucks on this fun and exciting effort,” said Reginald Hislop, President and CEO of The Village at Manor Park. “It’s generally accepted that the more active older adults are, the more likely they are to be healthier, happier and more independent, and the Bucks Seniorgee! Dance Team is consistent with our ‘You’re Never Too Old To Play’ program.”
Seniorgee! will make their debut during either a timeout or quarter break at Tuesday’s game.
