Bucks Draft David Noel With 39th Pick

June 28, 2006 - The Milwaukee Bucks have selected David Noel with the 39th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.

Noel enjoyed a successful four-year playing career at the University of North Carolina, earning All-ACC Second Team and ACC All-Defensive Team honors his senior season. During the 2005-06 season, he was third on the team in scoring (12.9), second in rebounding (6.8) and first in minutes-per-game (33.7). He shot over 50 percent in each of his four seasons as a Tar Heel, including 53.2 percent his senior year.

The 22-year-old, 6-6 forward finished his collegiate career with 880 points, 549 rebounds, 247 assists, 60 blocks and 137 steals. He started in 51 of 127 games during his four years and scored in double figures 35 times.

The 39th selection was Milwaukee’s lone pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.
