With the name in place, on October 18, 1977, Bango was born. That date signified the home opener of the 1977-78 season for the Bucks. The game pitted Milwaukee against the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar-led Los Angeles Lakers in the Milwaukee Arena.

Bango is a popular figure in the state of Wisconsin and is known for energizing and entertaining fans with his highflying acrobatic dunks, daring stunts, and funny antics.

Bango makes countless appearances at schools, parades, and festivals around the community. In addition, Bango has performed at the NBA at the All-Star Game and Jam Session events since 2001 and will be making his first international appearance in China this summer.
