Bucks Edged by Wizards

Milwaukee 75, Washington 78

The Washington Wizards erased a 16-point third-quarter deficit to beat the Milwaukee Bucks (78-75) in game one of day six of the NBA Summer League in Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.

The Bucks were led by Tobias Harris with a game high 24 points and a game high 12 rebounds while John Henson chipped in 20 points and Doron Lamb added 12. The Wizards offensive effort included four players in double-figures, Bradley Beal with 18, Shavlik Randolph and Shelvin Mack each with 11 and Chris Singleton with 10.

The Bucks jumped out to an 8-2 lead early in the first quarter, led by as many as 11 and held a six point advantage, 24-18, at the end of the period. Henson had a strong start for the Bucks scoring 10 of the team's points Lamb contributed six. The Wizards were led by Beal with nine points.

Milwaukee continued their dominance of the game, building their lead to 12 and led 49-37 at the half. Harris, who averaged 5.0 points a game for the Bucks during the 2011-12 season, led the team with 10 points in the quarter. Jeff Brooks came off the bench for the Wizards, scoring a team-high six points in the 10-minute period.

The Wizards out-paced the Bucks in the third quarter going on a 10-0 run and cut their 12-point half-time deficit to three, 65-62 at the end of the quarter. Mack sparked the Wizard's run scoring nine in the period. Harris continued to shine for the Bucks scoring eight points in the period.

Washington tied the game at 75 with 3:20 left in the final quarter on a Steven Gray 22-foot jumpshot and took their first lead of the game on a pair of free-throws with 2:49 remaining, sealing the victory for the Wizards.

The Milwaukee Bucks (1-1) will return to action Thursday, July 19, as they take on the NBA D-League Select team at 7 p.m. in Cox Pavilion.
