DEL-3-(NO STOPPIN' HIM NOW) - Carlos Delfino has been on fire for the Bucks lately. After scoring a career-high
30 points Sunday against New York, Delfino matched the performance with another 30-point outing Wednesday
against Sacramento. Over the last three games, Delfino is averaging 28.7 points while shooting 63.0 percent from
the field (29-46) and 61.3 from three (19-31). He's also adding 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.3 steals.
In 38 games this season, Del-3-no leads the team with 84 makes from three and his 2.2 3-pointers per game
would tie him with Ray Allen and Kevin Martin for fourth in the league if he had enough games to qualify. He has 12
games of three or more 3-pointers this season and the Bucks are 8-4 in those tilts.
MOUT-ILITY PLAYER - Bucks forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute has done a little of everything for the Bucks in his
last 11 tilts. Mbah a Moute has averaged 10.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.5 assists in those 11 (Feb.
26, Mar. 6-23). Those numbers are all beyond his season averages of 6.4 points, 5.4 boards, 1.0 steal and 0.9
assists. The third-year pro has done all of that while shooting 50.6 percent from the field (44-87) and leading the
team in free throws made (32) and attempted (41 - 78.0 percent). Seven of his 18 double-figure scoring games
this year have been in this stretch. Against the Kings, Mbah a Moute had 11 points on 4-6 shooting and 3-4 from
the charity stripe, four rebounds and two assists.
GENEROUS JENNINGS - Brandon Jennings has been quite giving with the basketball in the past four contests, accumulating 33 assists for an average of
8.3 per game. The point guard has recorded only 10 turnovers in that span for a 3.32:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Those numbers are an improvement on his
season averages of 4.9 assists, 2.3 turnovers and a 2.1:1 A:TO ratio. On the season, the Bucks are 10-9 when Jennings dishes out six or more assists, and
4-2 when he hands out eight or more.
THREE-CRET TO MY SUCCESS - Threes have been the secret to the Bucks success this season, going 15-9 when they sink seven or more 3-pointers and
19-15 when they make at least six. They have also gone 19-15 when shooting a higher percentage than their opponent from 3-point range. In each of the
Bucks last six wins they've made at least six 3-pointers and shot 36.8 percent or better from three. In their last three contests they've shot 42.6 percent
from 3-point range (23-54).
NEARING NUMBERS - A few milestones are on the horizon for Bucks players: Brandon Jennings (223) is nine 3-pointers away from passing Toni Kukoc and
Lee Mayberry (231) for 10th place in franchise history - Carlos Delfino (218) is also chasing Kukoc and Mayberry for that spot. John Salmons (597) is three
steals three from 600 for his career and Keyon Dooling (443) is seven steals from 450.
- On Wednesday, the Bucks finished up a four-game homestand with a loss to Sacramento. Milwaukee went 2-2
in those four. Following this weekend's road/home back-to-back with New York and Chicago, the Bucks close
the season with seven of 10 games on the road.
- Andrew Bogut recorded his 600th career block in Wednesday's game against Sacramento and now joins Alton
Lister (804) and Harvey Catchings (710) as the only Bucks with 600-plus blocks in franchise history.
- The Bucks are in the final stretch of a busy March that has 16 games scheduled (10 at home). The last time
they had more then 16 games in a month was January 2009 (18). They're currently 6-6 with four games
remaining (one at home and three on the road).
- Eight of the nine Bucks players recording minutes Wednesday dished out at least one assist in Milwaukee's
23-assist effort. On the season, the Bucks are 12-5 when handing out 23 or more assists.
- With his four steals Wednesday night, Carlos Delfino topped 300 for his career and now has 301. Over
Delfino's last 12 games he's averaging 2.3 steals (27).
- Larry Sanders had a productive 15:27 in Wednesday's game: he recorded 10 points on 5-7 shooting, four
rebounds, one assist, two steals and three blocks. It was Sanders' 26th game with one or more block and his
10th with three or more blocks. On the season, the Bucks have gone 7-3 when he has three-plus swats.
- Speaking of swats, Brandon Jennings had two of them Wednesday and his 17 blocks on the season rank him
third among players 6-1 and under.
