"We had good energy on both ends of the floor. We didn't hesitate offensively; we had some really nice sequences, shot the ball when we were open, passed it when we were covered. As a result, we had a lot of balls go in for us early and were able to build a nice lead."

On the win...
"It was a really good all-around effort on both ends. Everyone that stepped on the floor really played hard."

On Drew Gooden ...
"Drew got off to a good start. We're encouraging him to take those shots, we need him to take and make those shots, and he certainly can."

On John Salmons' play
"I thought it was his best all-around game. John was defensive rebounding, made some great passes, scored when he had some opportunities."

On adjustments to help improve shooting...
"Just put the ball in the hole. We got some easy buckets in transition, Brandon Jennings did a great job pushing the ball. When you start the game getting layups and making easy open shots, I think the basket gets bigger and bigger."

On better ball movement ...
"I think we've moved the ball fine the last couple games. The point of emphasis this week was shoot the ball when you're open. We passed up a lot of open shots the last couple games. In this game, when guys were open, they shot the ball."

On pace of play ...
"We don't want to get into a track meet with a team like New York. We just want to stick to our system, a half-court defensive system and grind it out and make them have longer possessions. They want to shoot the ball the first five to six seconds of the shot clock, the longer we keep them with the ball, the lower their shot percentage is."

On tonight's game ...
"Our energy level was really high tonight. Playing against a team like the New York Knicks, a team that shoots a lot of threes, you have to bring a lot of energy in the beginning, and that's what we did."

On spreading the ball around and defense ...
"Sharing the ball was great today. We had a pretty good day. Our defense was great, guys were talking. We were keeping the ball on one side of the floor. I'd say tonight was our best so far."

On Drew Gooden's put-back of his own shot in first quarter ...
"I thought he's going to be on SportsCenter tonight, Top 10 nominee for sure."

• Congrats are in order for FOX Sports Wisconsin. The Bucks cablecasts on FSW won an Emmy Award for the 2009 Chicago Midwest Region for live unedited sports programming. This is the third Emmy Award for Bucks broadcasters Jim Paschke and Jon McGlocklin, who are in their 25th season with the broadcast team.

• On Saturday against New Orleans, Carlos Delfino left the game with a neck strain. He is listed as day-to-day.

• The Bucks are currently in a stretch of four-straight back-to-back sets, their longest stretch of back-to-backs this season. Milwaukee leads the league with 23 back-to-backs this season and tonight's tilt is the seventh in a stretch of eight consecutive games to be played as part of back-to-backs. • The Bucks are fourth in the league by drawing 25.1 fouls per game. In 2009-10 Milwaukee was 20th in the league by drawing 20.29 fouls on their foes.

• Including tonight's game, the Bucks will play four of their next six games at the Bradley Center. To close out the month of November though, the Bucks play three of four games on the road.

• On Saturday, the Bucks had zero blocks. The last time the Bucks were unable to block an opponent's shot was March 26, 2010 against Miami, which was a game Bucks center Andrew Bogut missed due to a mid-back strain. The last time Bogut had a game with zero blocks was on April 3, 2010, which was when he suffered his season-ending elbow, wrist and hand injury against Phoenix. Prior to that, Bogut had blocked a shot in a franchise-record 39 consecutive games played.
