Head Coach Scott Skiles

On the team's struggles…
"We're not close to really understanding how hard we need to play and how hard we have to compete and pay attention to detail. A whole bunch of things like that. We're trying to get to the bottom of it."

On tonight's game…
"They just ran right by us. We had several clips at half time, you guys all saw it, where we just stood there and kind of let them right by us. That was point number one in the game plan and obviously we failed."

On changing lineups…
"We were just looking for any lineup to junk the game up a little bit; see if we can't get some fresh bodies in there. We got something going for ourselves, we made a little bit of a run but when we got it close, that's when you have to play perfectly and we didn't."

Forward Jon Leuer

On tonight's game…
"You can't pick out just one thing. Obviously they got some easy buckets in transition in the second quarter and that's what separated the game. They got those easy buckets and we didn't do a good job at getting back at all. That's on us to put the effort in to get back and that's something we have to get better at."

On the second half…
"It was good to see everyone stepped up and didn't quit and kept fighting. I think that tells a lot about the guys on this team that we aren't just going to roll over and die. In the end we just dug ourselves too big a hole."

Guard Beno Udrih

On tonight's game…
"In the scouting report it did say that they run the floor and when they get a rebound they kick it ahead. Basically that's what they did in the first half. In the second half we were just trying to pressure them but the lead was too big."

On fighting back in the second half …
"That's how this game is, you have to be playing the right way from the beginning, not from the second half. That's what we did today and once a team like that gets hot and in a rhythm it's tough."

BACK-TO-BACK STATS – The second game of the Bucks current road trip is also the first of their next set of backto- back contests. After notching their first road victory in New York, Milwaukee looks to continue that success by gaining their first road win in the first half of a back-to-back in Miami.

QUARTERLY REPORT – The Bucks played arguably their best second half of the season on Friday night in New York, outscoring the Knicks by 10 points in the closing quarters.

  • For the second time in his career, Brandon Jennings has scored 30+ points in two games a row (11/11- 11/14/09 and 1/17-1/20/12). Only one Bucks player, Mo Williams, has had a longer streak (3, 2/5-2/11/08) in the last six seasons.

  • The Bucks held the Knicks to their lowest opponent point totals in the third quarter (16) and second half (35) this season. It was also the only time that an opponent has been below 20 points in both the 3rd and 4th quarters.
