Head Coach Scott Skiles
(On tonight's game...)
"With about four minutes to go in the second quarter, they started getting really physical with us--setting screens, getting to the basket and rebounding positions--and we didn't respond really well to that. They took a little momentum there. We tried going totally small to see if we could get something going. It seemed like we did for a few minutes, but we just weren't able to sustain it."
(On the intensity of the game...)
"Just because there might be some technicals and I get tossed out of a game doesn't necessarily mean there was a lot of intensity. Having said that, there was (a lot of intensity) in pockets of the game for sure. I felt like we didn't play very well, but we played pretty hard. We can't give up 64 points in a half like we did in the second half and allow them to shoot such a good percentage and expect to win that type of game."
(On Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo...)
"He (Pierce) was doing what he does. He takes a couple dribbles, uses his body a little bit, rises up and shoots. We didn't have a whole lot of answers for that. He didn't have a great stat line, but (Rajon) Rondo has owned us in these games so far. He just goes wherever he wants to go. We have to do a much better job of getting him out of the paint. He causes the defense to collapse, opens things up for everybody else. We really struggled to contain him."
Forward Jerry Stackhouse
(On tonight's game...)
"We had some opportunities, but we just didn't take advantage of some of them. We were fatigued a little bit coming in on the back-to-back, but they played last night too. Everybody's at the same point in the season. We just have to try to muster up the energy it takes to win."
(On the physical play in the fourth quarter...)
"It's physical basketball. You'll see a lot more of that as the season goes on. At this stage, things are getting a little more intense right now, so you're going to have some moments like that. Hopefully we can stay away from fouls and technicals that cost us points."
Guard Brandon Jennings
(On the game...)
"They didn't have KG, we didn't have (Andrew) Bogut. It was kind of a little awkward game, but we still have to play. We still have to go down to Boston in our last game and try to get a win and get ready for the playoffs."
(On Rajon Rondo...)
"A lot of people talk about his shooting, how he can't shoot, but he can also do a lot of damage. He can get to the rim, he can make plays for other people. He's just so aggressive."
