Miami Heat at Boston Celtics (Heat lead 2-0)

  • The Heat are streaking...and so is Dwyane Wade. The former MU star has recoreded a steal in 18 consecutive postseason games. He and his teammate LeBron James have each had a steal in 12 consecutive games...the longest streak for a duo since steals were tracked in 1973.
  • Rajon Rondo was the first player in NBA postseason history to record as many points, rebounds and assists in a single game as the Celtics point guard did in Game 2 -- 44 pts, 10 asts, 8 rebs. The closest postseason performance came from Tracy McGrady who had 42 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds for the Magic against the Bucks in the first round in 2001.
  • The Heat have increased their scoring output by a hefty 14.7 points per game over their last five games and are shooting the ball 8.8 percentage points higher than their first 8 playoff games this year.
  • Only Charles Barkley performed as well as Kevin Garnett at the age of 36. KG is averaging 19.4 pts and 10.5 rebs this postseason. Sir Charles averaged 23.5 pts and 13.8 rebs for the rockets in 98-99.
