Tales from “LondonDairy” - Day One

By: Jim Paschke

The Bucks have arrived in Jolly Old England for their 2 pm CST Thursday game with
the Knicks.

The team departed Milwaukee on Sunday night with wheels up at 9:14 PM. We arrived in London at 9:55 or 3:55 AM Milwaukee time.

The ride was smooth and quick with a heavy Jet Stream pushing one of Mark Cuban’s luxury jetliners. This particular plane is often used by the Dallas Stars of the NHL and various MLB teams, in addition to specialized charters.

We landed at Luton, which is about an hour ride from Central London. It gave us a chance to get a look at the English countryside, and the famous hedgerows. It was an overcast morning here, but the fields remain an emerald green for the most part.

Temperatures this week will generally be in the upper 40’s.

Everything has been very organized, from deplaning, customs, arrival at the hotel and luggage delivery. After a brief welcome meeting and lunch, the traveling party has the rest of the day to themselves.

The scheduled events begin on Tuesday with a morning practice.

The trick today will be to look to the right first before crossing the street.

Bucks.com has a crew of four in London this week. Be sure to look for reports and video pieces throughout the trip.
