Much More Than Money
MACC Fund Pledges $10 Million Gift To Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
On June 26, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin announced it has been awarded a $10 Million gift from the MACC Fund to support and continue to improve the survivorship and quality of life of children with cancer and blood disorders through excellence of care, research and education. The gift is the largest single gift the MACC Fund has made to a hospital.
Since it's inception on December 10, 1976, the MACC Fund has contributed over $45 Million in the fight against childhood cancer. At the heart of it all is the founder and President of the MACC Fund, Jon McGlocklin. Jon was inspired by Brett Doucette, the son of longtime Bucks announcer Eddie Doucette, to begin this journey. Brett was diagnosed with cancer at the age of two and became the MACC Fund's first success story. There have been many success stories since Brett and with the help of the MACC Fund, its generous donors, the medical staff at facilities like Children's Hospital and many others, there will be many, many more.
