Coming off a difficult west coast trip, Brandon Jennings and the Bucks had a couple days at home before facing the Jazz on Saturday and hitting the road again Sunday for Monday and Tuesday night tilts against the Blazers and LA Lakers respectively. Rest wasn't in the cards for Brandon, however, as he used the time to visit with some special young fans in Milwaukee.
"I look forward to this time of year. It really is a good time to give back," said Brandon as he got into Player Development Director Skip Robinson's truck. "Days like today put a lot of things in perspective, which is good for all of us."
Brandon had just finished visiting Children's Hospital with the rest of his teammates as part of an annual event with the MACC Fund. They visited with children afflicted with cancer, sharing fun conversation, gifts and smiles.
As soon as he left the hospital, Brandon jumped into Skip's truck and rode to the Don and Sallie Davis Branch of the Boys and Girls Club to celebrate the holidays with some area youngsters. Hundreds of kids gathered in anticipation of a visit from two special guests, Brandon and Santa. The excitement in the room was incredible. Brandon met each child individually with a smile, a handshake and in one special instance, a hug.
"Wow, that was special. It really made me feel good to know that these kids appreciated the toys as much as they did," said Brandon.
Brandon wasn't done yet. He had one more group of fans to meet out in Brookfield at Sam's Club on behalf of Miller Lite before his day was done.
"It's all in a day's work," said Brandon with smile.
