Bucks Legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar Making a Splash

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and his patented 'sky-hook' brough instant success to the Bucks. After six seasons in Milwaukee, he was (and still is) the leading scorer (14,211) and rebounder (7,161) in team history. He also tops the Bucks all-time list in scoring average (30.4ppg), field goals made (5,902, attempted (10,787) and field goal percentage (.547).

The NBA Legend's talents go well beyond the game of basketball. Kareem is as an accomplished author, a cultural ambassador and, most notably for this story, an actor.

Kareem's acting career kicked off in 1972, when he faced off against Bruce Lee in the action film "Giant Steps." He transitioned from action to comedy in arguably his most memorable acting role when he played co-pilot Roger Murdock in the 1980 film "Airplane!" That classic performance led to numerous television and film appearances including roles in Fletch, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Different Strokes, 21 Jump Street, Full House, Scrubs, New Girl and many others.

In his newest TV role, Kareem takes a turn at reality television. Kareem joins cast members Louie Anderson, Drake Bell, Chuy Bravo, Nicole Eggert, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Ndamukong Suh, Katherine Webb and Kendra Wilkinson in the premier of "Splash," an ABC celebrity reality series debuting March 19 at 7 p.m.

“Splash” marks the first time 10 celebrities will train and compete in regulation platform and springboard diving at dizzying heights in front of a weekly poolside audience. Each week the celebrities will leap off the 10-meter high dive, pair off to complete synchronized stunts, and flip, twist and spin into the pool. Leading up to the competition, Greg Louganis, will give each celebrity weeks of training.
