Twenty one year old Dominique Johnson was born with a heart defect that limited his ability to be a “normal” kid growing up. Under the care of Cardiologist Dr. Stuart Berger since the day of his birth, Dominique recently received a heart transplant at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, giving him a second chance at life.
Dominique’s passion for the game of basketball is as strong as his new heart and his dream has always been to meet his idol, Bucks guard Brandon Jennings. Dominique’s dream came to fruition the day after his heart transplant, but unfortunately he was not coherent enough to remember. However, Dr. Berger and the Milwaukee Bucks organization made sure the second meeting was memorable.
