    Louis Amundson:
What did you think of the workout today?
It was good. We had a good group of guys. It went well. Pretty similar to all of the other ones I’ve been to.

What other teams have you done workouts with?
I had Orlando, been to Chicago, Lakers, Clippers, Denver, Sacramento. I have a couple more to go.

Are you anxious for draft night?
It’s getting close. I’m thinking about it more and more, but I’m kind of ready to get it all over with and see what’s going to happen.

If selected, what would you bring to your team?
I would bring a lot of energy and defensive rebounding. I just play hard on every possession, so I think I’ll bring that to the team.

Who will win Game Six of the NBA Finals?
I think Dallas is going to win. They’re back at home and they’re ready. They’re ready to defend that home court.

Who will win the entire NBA Finals series?
Whoever wins tonight is going to take it down.

    Marco Killingsworth:
What was your one year at Indiana like with coach Mike Davis?
It was great. He’s like a brother to you. He’s like a coach/brother/dad to you. He’s down to earth and he’s straight forward with you.

How would you rate the one season you played at Indiana?
All season, you’re going to have your ups and downs. It started out great. In the end, I’m happy. We went further (as a team) than I thought we would. To make the tournament was a blessing, but to get to 32 was great.

    How have the workouts been?
The workouts have been great. It seems like I’ve worked out with everybody. I think this might be my last one.

Do you have any expectations as to where you might get drafted?
Everyone wants the first round, but it’s gotten to a point where I’m not (worried) about where I get drafted. They’re going to pick who they want to pick, but anyone that picks me knows they’ll get a great player. They know I’ll bust my butt and work very hard. I don’t really care where I go, I just want to be a part of the NBA. It’s not just about getting drafted, it’s about going somewhere and playing. Not too many guys can say they have their name on the back of an NBA jersey or that they played in the NBA.

What can you bring to the NBA level?
I’m quicker and stronger than most guys, but I’m not taller than most power forwards. But you see what Elton Brand does. He’s not taller than everybody, but he gets it done. I think I can cause a lot of match-up problems. If you put a small forward on me, I’m going to hurt him on that block. If you put a big man on me, I’m going to go around him.

You entered the 2004 Draft, but withdrew your name. How did that experience help you during this draft?
It helped me a whole lot. You know what you’re getting into. I think a lot more juniors should try that, just to see what it’s like, and then go back to school. It’s nice to know what you’re getting yourself into and knowing how physical the workouts are going to be. Knowing what shape you need to be in. There’s no time to play around anymore – it’s all about business.

Where will you be watching the draft?
I’m going to be back home in Montgomery, Alabama. It’ll be nice to have everyone around and watching me. I’m just going to be around my loved ones and wait to hear my name be called.

    Chris McCray:
What other workouts do you have planned?
Right now Houston and the [Washington] Wizards. I have Cleveland on Friday and I end with the [L.A.] Lakers.

Do you have any expectations for the draft?
I missed the last part of the year so I can’t fault any teams for that. I just have to workout with the guys. When teams like Milwaukee call me, I’m so happy to get a workout and get a little bit of recognition. I know I can play with any guy they have at any number [in the draft]. I’ve already played against those guys. I basically have to work twice as hard as anyone else. I know what I have to do. I think I’m putting myself in a good position, having good workouts like this.

What other guards in the draft have you played against?
My junior year I played against Rodney Carney. J.J. [Redick] and I always had battles. Ronnie Brewer in Maui.

How were your match-ups against J.J. Redick?
We always battled each other. As a defender, you have to realize he’s always going to get his 20 [points]. You know he’s always going to take most of the shots, but you can’t let a guy like that get 30 or 40 [points] otherwise you’re not doing your job.

Would your situation have been different if you played every game your senior year?
I’m pretty sure I would have put myself in a better position than where I am now. I’m pretty sure we would have made it to the tournament. If we had good enough guys on my team, we could have made a run for it. If I had played the whole year, I would have had a definite better look – a better outcome.

How did you do at the Orlando Pre-Draft Camp?
I thought I had some good basketball games, but I didn’t have the offense I wanted to, to get my name back out there. I think I played some good games – rebounding and shooting.

    David Noel:
How many workouts have you taken part in?
This is my ninth workout. I’ve been to Utah, New York, Orlando, Sacramento, Golden State, Chicago … I don’t even know if I can remember them all.

Where are you being projected in the draft?
I have no idea right now. It’s tough. You really don’t know, especially for guys like me that aren’t big-name guys. It’s kind of stressful. But at the same time, you just try to enjoy the experience and thank God for it.

What was it like to play for North Carolina?
It was great. The first year I was under Matt Doherty and things just didn’t work out with him. Then (Roy) Williams came in and he’s done a wonderful job with the organization.

What was your role with the Tar Heels?
In my first couple of years, I was a defensive player, scoring here and there and doing the dirty things that the team needed me to do. Then after that, in my senior year, my role kind of stepped up to being a leader and just trying to provide everything me needed … just quadrupling what I had been doing.

You played the 4-spot in college and will most likely play the 3-spot in the NBA. Will that be a tough adjustment to make?
I don’t think so. It’s actually my natural position and I felt like I had an advantage in college playing the 4 spot because I had those type of skills to step out on the floor and shoot. My game really isn’t the back-to-the-basket game, but seeing as how I played the 4 spot, I kind of incorporated that into my game and that just made me even better.

In the NBA Draft Guide, it says that you would consider a career in the NFL if the NBA doesn’t work out. Is that true?
If it doesn’t work out the way that I want it to, and if I’m not able to provide for my family the way that I want to (in the NBA), the NFL is definitely an option. I’m just trying to ride this wave right now and hope to God that everything works out and that I won’t have to go to football.

Have NFL teams shown interest in you?
The (San Diego) Chargers wanted to draft me in the Third Round, I think. The Baltimore Ravens, (Washington) Redskins, (Carolina) Panthers … a lot of teams.

Did the Packers show any interest?
Yeah, the Packers. They actually came to me at Portsmouth Camp while I was up there and told me that if I ever changed my mind, to call them and they would bring me up for a workout. I’m going to try basketball as long as I can and if it doesn’t work out to where I don’t get drafted or don’t make an NBA roster, I’ll go overseas for a year, but I think that’s all that I’ll do.

You must have a football background then, right?
I actually committed to (North) Carolina on a full football scholarship and I was supposed to play wide receiver, but I turned it down at the last minute to play basketball.
