    The entire Bucks team was on hand yesterday to surprise shoppers downtown at the Metro Market from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. Players assisted shoopers at the front desk, in the produce section, bagging groceries, in the bakery, in the deli, and in the meat section, while the Energee!     Bucks rookies Brandon Jennings and Jodie Meeks attended an Appreciation Pizza Party to thank the volunteers contributing to the Heaven House Project, a new home for a generous family in Brookfield. The O'Brien family consists of 19 people: Parents Daniel and Lori, three biological children, 10 adopted children and four foster children. Their family home is in need of both repair and expansion, and their new home, the Heaven House, will be handicap accessible and large enough to accomodate more additions to their family. Photos

The Bucks worked with Sam’s Hope Literacy Foundation to "adopt" a group of New Orleans school children for Slam Dunk 2009, a student literacy program. As part of the pen pal exchange with third graders in Milwaukee, UNO Charter Network students received copies of the book "Me on the Map" by Joan Sweeney. Students in both cities are learning about the places Bucks players have gone to college and the countries of their origin. Photos

The Bucks hosted their annual Special Olympics Basketball Clinic on Monday, February 23. Bucks coaches Jim Boylan and Joe Wolf were joined by players Malik Allen, Charlie Bell, Dan Gadzuric, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Luke Ridnour, Eddie Gill and Charlie Villanueva.
