Bucks Turning Back the Clock with '90s Era Throwback Jersey As Part of the NBA's Hardwood Classic Initiative

The Milwaukee Bucks have joined the NBA’s 2013 Hardwood Classics initiative by introducing a new adidas Hardwood Classics on-court jersey, the design of which was last used during the 1995-96 season. The Bucks are turning back the clock to the era when a young Glenn Robinson was dominating the Milwaukee hardwood. In 1995, a gallon of gas cost just $1.09 and Coolio and his iconic hair sat atop the Billboard music charts. That classic style and value will return to the BMO Harris Bradley Center this month, as the Bucks bring back their iconic alternate road uniforms from the 1995-96 season and offer fans value-packed ’90s-era pricing for all February home games.

The new version of the 1995-96 Bucks alternate uniform features an action-styled deer head covering much of the front of the jersey, which is forest green with purple and white accents. The Bucks jersey is part of a league-wide initiative celebrating unique uniform designs of the ’90s. The initiative also provides on-court extensions of the jersey design via warm-up suits and shooting shirts. To see images of the Bucks Hardwood Classics uniform, log on to www.bucks.com/throwback.

Fans will get their first look at the adidas NBA Hardwood Classic jerseys tomorrow night when the Bucks take on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden (6:30 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Wisconsin). The home debut will occur Saturday night when the Bucks meet the Orlando Magic at the BMO Harris Bradley Center at 7:30 p.m. (visit Bucks.com or call 1-800-4NBA-TIX for ticket information). In all, the Bucks are slated to wear the throwback threads at 10 games this season, including six home dates. The complete Bucks Hardwood Classics schedule is below.

As part of the “Throwback Month” promotion, upper level tickets for all February home games will be priced comparably to how they were when the Bucks last wore these uniforms in the mid-’90s, with hundreds of seats as low as $6. Milwaukee’s February home schedule tips off this Saturday, when the Orlando Magic make their first BMO Harris Bradley Center appearance of the season, and also includes visits by Detroit (Feb. 9), Washington (Feb. 11), Philadelphia (Feb. 13), Brooklyn (Feb. 20) and Atlanta (Feb. 23). To take advantage of this special throwback pricing, click here or call 1-800-4NBA-TIX.
