To show appreciation for the American service men and women who nobly served our country, Milwaukee Bucks players and mascot Bango recently visited Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. The visit took place as a part of the NBA Cares Hoops for Troops initiative.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Miroslav Raduljica, Ekpe Udoh and Nate Wolters joined Bango at the VA Medical Center to host a social. The players shared conversations with the veterans while playing games and serving ice cream sundaes and beverages.
On Saturday night, November 9th the Bucks held Military Appreciation Night when they took on the Dallas Mavericks with many veterans and active duty service men and women in attendance.
NBA Cares Hoops for Troops is a collaboration with the Department of Defense, USO, and other military and veteran-serving organizations to honor active and retired service men and women and their families. Throughout Veterans Day weekend (Nov. 7 - 11), NBA players will wear special oncourt apparel, including adidas shooting shirts, headbands, wristbands and socks to commemorate the holiday.
