A NBA revela a equipe ideal de novatos titular e reserva da temporada de 2005-06

O Chris Paul do New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets lidera o grupo de talentosos rookies que integram a Equipe de Novatos Titular na presente temporada.

O Paul está acompanhado pelo Charlie Villanueva (Toronto Raptors, 56 pontos), o Andrew Bogut (Milwaukee/55), o Deron Williams (Utah Jazz/46) e o Channing Frye (New York Knicks/45).

O Paul se converteu no quinto novato na história da liga que ganhou o prêmio T-Mobile Novato do mês em cada um dos meses da sua primeira temporada profissional. Ele comparte esta honra com o LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers), o Carmelo Anthony (Denver Nuggets), o Tim Duncan e o David Robinson (San Antonio Spurs).

O Paul liderou os novatos com 21 ‘doubles-doubles’ e teve médias de 16.1 pontos, 7.8 assistências, 5.1 rebotes e 2.24 roubos de bola.

A segunda equipe ideal de novatos T-Mobile está integrado pelo Danny Granger (Indiana Pacers/43 pontos), o Raymond Felton (Charlotte Bobcats/40), o Luther Head (Houston Rockets/28), o Marvin Williams (Atlanta Hawks/15) e o Ryan Gomes (Boston Celtics/14).

O painel de votação esteve integrado pelos 30 técnicos da NBA, que escolheram cinco titulares e cinco jogadores reservas sem importar as sua posições. Os técnicos não podiam votar pelos jogadores da sua própria equipe. Dois pontos foram entregues aos escolhidos para a primeira equipe e um para o grupo de reservas.
