O Allen Iverson (Philadelphia 76ers) e o Pau Gasol (Memphis Grizzlies) foram selecionados os Jogadores da Semana na Conferência do Leste e Oeste, respectivamente, pelos jogos disputados entre os dias 27 ao 5 de março.

O Iverson teve a média mais alta da liga com 37.3 pontos, ademais de fazer registros de 9.3 assistências e 3.5 rebotes. Com este desempenho, ele soma três prêmios de Jogador da Semana na presente temporada. Por primeira vez em seus 10 anos de carreira na NBA, o Iverson fez 40 pontos e 10 assistências em dois jogos de forma consecutiva, se convertendo no primeiro jogador a conseguir isso desde o Michael Adams com o Denver em 1991.

O Gasol por sua parte, foi determinante para que os Grizzlies tivessem um registro ganhador de três triunfos e nenhuma derrota na semana. O espanhol teve médias de 26.3 pontos, 7.7 rebotes, 5.7 assistências e 2.33 bloqueios. Na vitória por 108-98 contra os Wizards no dia 27 de fevereiro, o Gasol conseguiu o vigésimo quarto 'double-double' da temporada com um recorde pessoal de 39 pontos na NBA, ademais de fazer 10 rebotes.
