Miami (Flórida, EUA) – A cidade de Denver organizará o All-Star Weekend 2005 da NBA, a Liga Profissional de Basquete dos Estados Unidos. A cidade que tem os Nuggets, do brasileiro Nenê, marcou para o dia 20 de fevereiro no Pepsi Center, o ginásio dos Nuggets, a partida que reúne as grandes estrelas da Liga Americana de Basquete.

“Denver é uma magnifica sede para o evento. Aprecisamos a liderança de Stan Kroenke (proprietário dos Nuggets) e de toda sua organização, por isso foi convidado para a celebração anual do basquete da NBA. As finais desta temporada da NBA teve um sabor da ABA (antiga American Basketball Association), assim que é apropriado anunciar que o All-Star 2005 será em uma cidade com raizes da ABA”, afirmou David Stern, Comissionado da NBA.

o All-Star regressará a Denver em 2005 depois de realizar nesta cidade em 1984. Em 1976 o All-Star aconteceu em Denver, só que organizado pela ABA. Antes de Denver, o All-Star de 2004 da NBA será disputado no Staples Center de Los Angeles, de 13 a 15 de fevereiro próximos.
