The third day of the NBA's Americas Team Camp presented by Nike began with a lot of positive yelling and hollering from camp coaches, plenty of interaction and energy that pushed campers to focus on learning.
"It's been intense, but it is an achievement in my career to participate in this instructional camp. Besides learning a lot more about basketball, it is another chance to integrate myself with athletes from other countries and exchange experiences while building stronger ties with my own teammates," said Brazilian camper Igor Avelino, 16.
From skills clinics to team concept practices focused on building their team offense and defense, campers did it all just before the competition sessions in the late afternoon.
"The boys are talented, and it is important to convey to them that the dream is possible for those who work hard with dedication and responsibility. The important thing is also to know to always evolve and to exchange knowledge with others, either with coaches or players," said camp coach Ron Harper.
The day ended with adrenaline running high as campers and coaches anticipate the line-up for tomorrow's Americas Team Camp's All-Star Game. Who will make the rosters? Find out tomorrow.
