Sponsored by Gatorade and Presbyterian Healthcare, the Bobcats Youth Basketball Network is designed to promote the value of youth basketball as a vehicle to build character, to promote individual performance excellence and to nurture sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, self-esteem and goal setting. The network provides a fun and rewarding youth basketball experience where young players can create a bond with the game and learn what it takes to be successful away from the court.
There are numerous benefits for joining the network. Players will participate in skill-building clinics and receive instructional materials, participate in awards programs and have the opportunity to attend select Bobcats and Sting games. Parents can also benefit by attending coaching sessions on methods to support and create positive recreational sports experiences for child athletes. Coaches will receive the opportunity to attend coaches’ clinics, participate in awards programs and receive coaches’ shirts.
Youth basketball leagues in the network will receive benefits such as an affordably priced Bobcats uniform or T-shirt, membership in the Jr.NBA/Jr.WNBA, recognition on the team website -- BobcatsBasketball.com, giveaway items for grassroots event promotions, signage for displays in gymnasiums and opportunities for special appearances.
